The installation The Penultimate uses colorful flower arrangements to memorialize the courageous political resistance of the so-called color revolutions, in which people demanded — in most cases without violence — a change of regime. The title of the work refers to the fact that the Russian-born artist assumes that this form of protest will continue, and is thus also to be understood as a threat to the despots of this world.
